Seal Harbor, Maine
This project in Seal Harbor, Maine is a collaboration with Patrick Cullina. For this project, Patrick has done the design work, and we are doing the installation and maintenance of this garden. Work has included many edits to the aging landscape that was installed when the building was built 30 years ago. The project has involved rebuilding numerous dry-laid granite retaining walls and adding substantial new plantings consisting of primarily native trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials and grasses. New stone patios and steps have been added to improve circulation and functionality of the garden as well as a new woodland “ramble” that winds through dramatic moss-covered ledge outcroppings.
Garden path gently winding through the plantings as you climb the hillside up to the cabin and house.
